Breakfast Tournament #3

August 26 The Hidden Creek Men's Golf Association (MGA) organizes and sponsors three Breakfast Tournaments each year. The MGA started these tournaments several years ago with the objective of affording members the opportunity to play with golfers they normally might not meet or play with. In other words, we want to get more of our members to know each other in order to enhance the spirit of camaraderie.

Member-Member

September 27, 28, 29, 2018 -- The Member-Member is a two-day, four-ball competition similar in format to the Member-Guest. Teams compete in five nine-hole matches within six-team flights. This year's field is capped at 60 two-man teams.

Charlie Good Final Event

- The Final Event, also known as the Charlie Good Memorial, is both the last official tournament of the MGA season and the last opportunity to compete for Player of the Year points.

The tournament is open to all current MGA members.

Fall Smoker

November 12 -- The Fall Smoker is final MGA social event of the year featuring cocktails, dinner and the announcement of 2018 tournament winners.

The Fall Smoker is also the time to elect members of the MGA Board.

Both the fall and spring Smokers are open to all current and prospective MGA members. Any new male members of Hidden Creek who are interested in joining the MGA are encouraged to attend. .

2019 Iron Man/Iron Woman

February 23 and 24, 2019-- Kick off the golf season with one of the most challenging formats of the year. The Iron Man/Iron Woman is a one-day stroke-play event with men teeing off from the Blue tees and Women teeing off from the Whites. The early season conditions make for an especially challenging weekend.

Spring Smoker

March 11, 6:00 pm -- There is no better way to get ready for the upcoming golf season then attending the “Spring Smoker”.

Both the fall and spring Smokers are open to all current and prospective MGA members. Any “NEW” members who are interested in joining the MGA are encouraged to attend. It’s a great way to meet other members, find out what the MGA is all about and look ahead to the 2019 season and the upcoming schedule.

Hidden Madness

Saturday, March 16 -- Take your best shot on 15 in this bracket-style, one-shot elimination event. In this elimination skills event, 64 players complete in a match play event where the player with the closest shot to the hole wins and advances to the next round. As in the NCAA basketball tournament, players are seeded by handicap in four 16-player brackets.

The winning player advances to the next round.

Bracket selection takes place in the Tavern Thursday, March 14, at 6:00 pm.

MGA Cup

April 1-October 15 The MGA Cup is a season-long match play tournament. Field divided into 8-player flights based on handicap Index (as of March 15). Matches played using 100% of the Course Handicap on date played, with strokes given based on the lower handicap player. All play from white tees. Flight winners (and wildcards if needed) are randomly seeded into a 16-player finals bracket to determine the overall tournament winner.

2019 Green Coat Masters

April 26, 27 and 28 -- Since 1980, the Green Coat has been the first major of the MGA season and is considered by many to be the most prestigious. This year marks the 40th time members will compete for the coveted Green Coat.

Sunday, May 5 The Hidden Creek Men's Golf Association (MGA) organizes and sponsors, in coordination with the Pro Shop, three Breakfast Tournaments each year. Breakfast Tournaments provide a season-long competition and the opportunity for all MGA golfers to meet, socialize and play competitive golf with a variety of partners chosen by computer. In 2017, the team made the playoffs for the second time in club history. We also won our first playoff match. This year we plan to resume that winning tradition.

2019 Two-Man Challenge

May 18 and May 19 As its name implies, the "Challenge" is a fun two-man event. Find a partner to play in a series of formats, including two-man scramble, better-ball, alternate shot and individual stroke play.

The event is a unique 36-hole, two-man net tournament using multiple formats. Saturday Format: Front 9 -- two man scramble; Back 9 -- modified alternate shot (both players tee off and pick the best drive and alternate shot thru hole). 2019 Senior Club Championship

June 1 - June 2 The Senior Club Championship is an individual stroke play event open to all members 50 years of age and above. Participants in the Super Senior division must be 65 years old or older; play is from the gold tees. Gross and Net prizes. Players receive 100% of their Course Handicap.

June 13, 14, 15, 2019 -- From year to year the Hidden Creek Member-Guest continues to surpass expectations and top the performances of previous year's events.

The Member-Guest is a three-day, four-ball competition similar in format to the Member-Member.

Teams compete in five nine-hole matches within six-team flights. On Friday each team plays three matches. Saturday each team plays two matches.
