2014 Member-Member (September 25-27)

September 25, 26, 27 The Member-Member is a two-day, four-ball competition similar in format to the Member-Guest.

Teams compete in five nine-hole matches within six-team flights. On Friday, September 26 each team plays three matches. Saturday, September 27 each team plays two matches.

Flight winners and wild card qualifiers advance to the shoot out round Saturday afternoon.

Final Event (The Charlie Good)

The Final Event, also known as the Charlie Good Memorial, is both the last official tournament of the MGA season and the last opportunity to compete for Player of the Year points.

The tournament is open to all current MGA members. Registration if open until the morning of the event.

Fall Smoker

The Fall Smoker is final MGA social event of the year featuring cocktails, dinner and the announcement of 2014 tournament winners.

The Fall Smoker is also the time to elect members of the MGA Board.

2015 Spring Smoker

March 16, 6:30 pm -- There is no better way to get ready for the upcoming golf season then attending the “Spring Smoker”.

Both the fall and spring Smokers are open to all current and prospective MGA members. Any “NEW” members who are interested in joining the MGA are encouraged to attend. It’s a great way to meet other members, find out what the MGA is all about and look ahead to the 2015 season and the upcoming schedule.

2015 Hidden Madness Bracket Challenge

March 27 -- Take your best shot on 15 in this bracket-style, one-shot elimination event. In this elimination skills event, 64 players complete in a match play event where the player with the closest shot to the hole wins and advances to the next round. As in the NCAA basketball tournament, players are seeded by handicap in four 16-player brackets.

The winning player advances to the next round.

2015 Iron Man/Iron Woman

March 28, March 29 -- Kick off the golf season with one of the most challenging formats of the year. The Iron Man/Iron Woman is a two-day stroke-play event with men teeing off from the Blue tees and Women teeing off from the Whites.

2015 MGA Cup

The MGA Cup is a season-long match play tournament. Beginning in early April the tournament is comprised of two major parts, the Initial Rounds and the Final Rounds. During the Initial Rounds, players are flighted in eight-man brackets seeded by USGA Index. Bracket winners advance to Final Bracket of Match Play. Shoot-Out in July for Third Round Losers (The Best of the Rest!) Finals - 4 Rounds of Match Play (16 Players ).

2015 Green Coat Masters

April 17, 18 and 19 -- Since 1980, just 108 Hidden Creek members have earned the right to wear the coveted Green Coat.

The Green Coat is the first major of the MGA season and is considered by many to be the most prestigious. This year marks the 36th time members will compete for the coveted Green Coat.

Breakfast Tournament #1

May 3 The Hidden Creek Men's Golf Association (MGA) organizes and sponsors, in coordination with the Pro Shop, three Breakfast Tournaments each year. The MGA started these tournaments several years ago with the objective of affording members the opportunity to play with golfers they normally might not meet or play with. In other words, we want to get more of our members to know each other in order to enhance the spirit of camaraderie.

2015 Two-Man Challenge

May 16 and May 17, 2015 As its name implies, the "Challenge" is a fun two-man event. Its "Eclectic" format is designed to encourage aggressive play, while also keeping each team in the competition for the whole weekend. At the end of the tournament, each team will submit one aggregate 18-hole score. The team score will be determined by selecting the best score for each hole from both days. Best 18-hole net score is the overall winner.

Players sign up in the pro shop or Tavern the morning of the event. The pro shop pairs teams based on handicap.

2015 President's Cup

The President's Cup is the year's largest stroke play tournament. The event is open to all members of the Hidden Creek MGA.

2015 Club Championship Qualifier

Individuals seeking to participate in the 2015 Club Championship Champions Flight must complete two stroke-play qualifying rounds between July 13 and August 5.

Competitors may play three rounds of stroke play from the blue tees. The best two rounds will count. The top 15 qualifiers will be seeded in the Championship Flight, which begins Sunday, August 9.

The Memorial

Sunday, July 26 -- Form a two-man scramble team for a one-day, casual tournament honoring past members of Hidden Creek Country Club.

Rules:

  • Team course handicap minimum of no less than 10 as of July 1, 2015 revision.
  • Must use five drives from each player.
  • Must use five second shots from each player.

2015 Club Championship

August 14, 15, 16 -- The Club Championship is a flighted match play event offering players at all levels to compete for the champion's trophy.

The event includes flights for all handicap levels and the Championship flight, from which the Club's 2015 Champion will compete.

All members are invited to qualify for the Championship flight. All other participants are flighted according to their handicap.
